Much more goes into a foodstagram than five-star restaurant dishes and food porn-worthy photography. Behind every account is a creator, or in this case, two college girls.

The creators of 2hangrygirlz, Marni Pozin and Phoebe Handler, are freshmen at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The long time friends and current roommates share the Instagram account, which they created only a few months ago.

The idea for 2hangrygirlz was made out of pure boredom. Pozin and Handler created the account when they traveled together to New York this past summer and had a flight delay at JFK Airport.

Did I mention Handler and Pozin are my suitemates, too? When they told me about their up-and-coming account, I couldn't help but ask to blog about it. A Foodstagram created by trendy, creative women has nothing but success ahead of it.

When asked why the girls chose to create an Foodstagram, Handler said, "We are big foodies and always share pictures of our food with each other. We like trying new things and going to trendy restaurants to see what the hype is about."

The two girls hope to expand their account by reaching out to a larger audience in the next year. They are also now accepting send-in photos of food from the Champaign-Urbana area.

2hangrygirlz has a wide range of photos from different locations. Their account currently features photos of food from Willis Tower and Sakanaya, a popular sushi restaurant located on UIUC's campus.

All in all, Handler says, "We just want to continue eating good food and sharing it together as friends!"

So log onto your Insta, and give these girls a follow for some pretty pictures of delicious food. Also, don't forget to send in any food pictures. You may be lucky enough to be featured on their account. Believe me, you won't regret it.
